Delivering a Blessing

As we approach this Thanksgiving season we have so much to be grateful.  We wanted you to see the joy that your giving has brought to many neighbors in need. Once again, as a church, you have demonstrated wonderful generosity as we put together over 100 backpacks for people in need within our surrounding community. 

 

We sent 40 of them to the Rehoboth Food Pantry and their Helping Hands Project.  Steve Martin, coordinator of R.H.H.P., wrote and thanked us, “The donation of 40 backpacks from Community Covenant Church has come at a great time…The shelves at the food pantry were very low this summer.  Your church has been a blessing to our community.”  They will be handing out the backpacks next week for Thanksgiving to the first forty children that come to the food pantry.

 

Additionally, we brought 77 backpacks to the Providence Rescue Mission, which serves as a men’s and women’s shelter as well as a food kitchen.  Through these programs, they are able to support around one hundred men and women on a daily basis.  They were very happy to receive these backpacks during this Thanksgiving season.  Click on the various links to see some of the pictures taken while we delivered the packs. I can’t help but reflect about how much God loves all people and how He uses us to bless others.   

 

2 Corinthians 9:8 “And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.”

 

We have so much to be thankful for so take some time to reflect on God’s goodness and be in prayer for these families that have been touched by your generosity.
