Community Service

the love of God in action…

There are some amazing organizations in our communities that offer much needed help to the people of our area for no or little cost. For example: the YMCA’s Camp Finberg - a weekly summer camp for disadvantaged children; or Greenlock Therapeutic Riding Center, utilizing equine-related activities for the therapy of children with physical, developmental and emotional handicaps; or Old Colony Rest Home, providing a home for men and women who have no other place to live, taking them in and giving them dignity, care, and hope for the future.   

On a regular basis we check with these organizations to see if there are particular needs that a group of people with creativity, energy, paintbrushes, hammers, saws and buckets could fulfill! We have painted buildings, fixed fences, cleaned-up and fixed up old facilities, etc. etc.

Our church members look forward to our community service days, and show up en masse to lend their hands to the work.
